Directions to Casa de Aero
From O'Hare
From O'Hare, follow the signs to Rockford, I-90 Tollway West. You will drive about 20 miles west to the US Highway 20 exit.
The last exit before Highway 20 is Highway 47, you will see the discount mall along the right side. Once you see that exit you have about another 5 miles to go to the Highway 20 exit.
You will see signs for several truck stops at this exit. The signs will say 'Hampshire Marengo Exit' This is it!
The exit will end in a traffic light. Turn left. All exits come to this one intersection, so it's left turn no matter which way you exited from 90.
You are now on Highway 20 west. The road will start as a divided highway but will narrow just before going over a little bridge. Just after this bridge, after the road narrows, (about a half mile) turn left on a road called 'Getty'. It's a left-turn only and is immediately after the little bridge.
Getty will essentially dead-end in a half mile or so, turning into a farm road. Turn left at that point. The road will go up and over the tollway. Getty is the county line, and the road you will turn onto changes names at that point. It will probably be called Hampshire road, Riley road, or both.
You're now going south and will drive up and over the I-90 tollway. Just over that bridge turn right on Stoxen. It's a quarter mile or less, the first right turn you can make.
Stoxen will curve to the right. Turn left on Immelman in a city block or two. (watch for the small green street sign).
You will see our airport coming up on the left.
If the address you are visiting is on Immelman it will be coming up on the left. If you are heading to a Chandelle address, take either the first or last left turn to cross over to the other side of the airport, where you will find Chandelle.
All of the houses have a 'fire sign', a small red sign out by the mailbox with the house number on it. That's your best clue in finding the home you are visiting.
Keep in mind that we're a small and friendly community. So please slow down for the kids and pets, and don't be surprised if folks wave at you. Welcome!
