Directions to Casa de Aero

From the North / Crystal Lake

Navigate to Highway 47 south, aiming toward Huntley. You may pick up 47 at or north of Woodstock, or come over on 176 or 62. Travel south on 47 into Huntley.

In Huntley watch for the railroad tracks. Just beyond the tracks turn right (west) on Main Street. This is Marengo Road. In 2-3 miles Marengo road will end in a T intersection. Turn left. Almost immediately turn right again on Harmony Road. Harmony curves and wanders for several miles. After a straight stretch of a couple of miles watch for a little hill: there is a stop sign just past that hill. There is a sign and white lines across the road to warn you, if you miss them it will be difficult to stop in time for the stop sign: it is really right over the hill.

At that stopsign you are in Harmony, all 4 or 5 buildings of it. You'll see the Harmony Real Estate sign ahead of you as a clue. The stop sign is for Highway 20, which passes through Harmony. Don't turn, drive straight across 20, taking care with the rather blind curves both directions. And get ready to turn left!

Within about 1/4 mile there is a left turn labeled Hampshire Road. Turn left on that road. There is where many people get lost, they miss that quick turn onto Hampshire. If you go more than a mile west from Harmony you missed it, turn around and go South on Hampshire Road.

Travelling south on Hampshire now, in something under a mile you will come to a bridge over the I-90 tollway. Just over that bridge turn right on Stoxen. It's a quarter mile or less, the first right turn you can make.

Now west-bound on Stoxen, follow the curve to the right. Turn left on Immelman in a city block or two. (watch for the small green street sign).

You will see our airport coming up on the left.

If the address you are visiting is on Immelman it will be coming up on the left. If you are heading to a Chandelle address, take either the first or last left turn to cross over to the other side of the airport, where you will find Chandelle.

All of the houses have a 'fire sign', a small red sign out by the mailbox with the house number on it. That's your best clue in finding the home you are visiting.
